GRAHAM, TX – The ladies and gentlemen of the Graham Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary are often recognized by their pink coats and eager-to-help smile. This holiday season they have gone above and beyond to make sure all those who walked through the doors of Graham Regional Medical Center were greeted with a smile and a little holiday spirit.
There were ten different departments who entered this year in the door decorating contest: Nursing Administrators, Medical/Surgical, Lab, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Emergency, Surgery, Wellness Center, Dietary and Admissions. Each one went above and beyond to bring the spirit of the season to our hospital visitors, employees and patients. The Hospital Auxiliary awarded an overall winner, three 1st places, four 2nd places and two 3rd places. The overall winner was awarded lunch from Dos Chiles, 1st place winners will receive a pizza party, 2nd place winners will receive a cupcake party and 3rd place winners will get a cookie party. Hospital Auxiliary member, Nancy Hays stated: “They were the best doors I have ever seen. Everyone deserved a prize!”
The Hospital Auxiliary has been an organized group since 1956. They are a volunteer service to the hospital and fund raise through various approved ways. It is the desire of the group to contribute to the needs of the hospital, the happiness and well-being of the patient and the satisfaction to the volunteer of a job “well done”.
